For many Chatham Hall students, travel—whether it’s a Spring Break trip to Africa or a summer spent with the Student Diplomacy Corps—enriches their academic studies, forges new friendships, and broadens their perspective.
For the past 20 years, the Polly Wheeler Guth '44 Leader in Residence program has brought female luminaries to the Chatham Hall campus to interact with and inspire students.
On Oct. 7, 21 Turtles and four faculty members took a trip to Staunton, Va. for the American Shakespeare Center’s (ASC) production of Hamlet at the Blackfriars Playhouse.
During this year’s Writer in Residence keynote address, novelist Laura Ruby shared her fascination with the “weird and creepy” with the entire School community in the Van Voorhis Lecture Hall on Sept. 18.
Christine Knight P'19 came to Chatham Hall in 2014 and has worked in the alumni and development fields for more than 20 years. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia, M.A. in liberal arts studies from Hollins University, and M.B.A. from the University of Richmond. Christine enjoys living in faculty housing and being a part of the on-campus community.
Stephanie Wilkinson Roberts ‘95 returned to Chatham Hall in 2022 as the director of Chatham Hall Fund. She received a Bachelor of Science in business management from Averett University as well as a Master of Science in accounting from Liberty University. Stephanie has remained local as a teacher for both Pittsylvania and Halifax Counties after a career as an accountant. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, playing volleyball, and getting involved in the local community.
Kristin Reese '08 returned to Chatham Hall in 2022. After graduating from Chatham Hall, she earned a B.A. from Mary Baldwin College before receiving an M.A. in executive leadership from Liberty University. Kristin then worked as the assistant director of academic advising for Liberty's online enrollment management department. Her favorite things about Chatham Hall are the strong sense of community and beautiful campus.
Isabella Hubbard '19 returned to Chatham Hall in 2024 as the Office of Advancement & Alumnae Relations' engagement & development officer. After graduating, she studied marketing management at the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business during which she served as a marketing and communications intern for the school and the Sons of Saturday podcast. Isabella most recently worked as an associate account manager at Collabera, a global talent solutions firm.
As a Chatham Hall student, she was a member of the IEA team and represented the School at National Finals three times. Outside of work, Isabella enjoys investing in her health and fitness through activities such as lifting weights, pilates, and taking walks.
David Lake came to Chatham Hall in 2024. He graduated from Colgate University prior to joining the Marine Corps, which he exited at the rank of captain after five years of service. David most recently worked at North Cross School for 10 years as the director of institutional advancement and two-sport coach. Prior to North Cross, he worked in various industries, including owning an insurance consulting practice.
David is active in his community and enjoys golf, tennis, fishing, and being with his three children.
Amy Blair is a graduate of Mt. Ida College and joined Chatham Hall in 2005. As a part of the Office of Advancement, she works primarily with alumnae and parent relations. Amy's favorite thing about Chatham Hall is the beautiful campus and her favorite tradition is the annual Honor Chapel.
