Class of 2017 Celebrates 100 Days Until Graduation
— by Chatham Hall |
Joining in the tradition set by those classes that came before them, the Class of 2017 celebrated 100 days until graduation on Thursday. As per the tradition, members of the class wore all white throughout the day, and the school community gathered in the Well as each member of the class received an iris. The class of 2017 then sang the alma mater, and were met with more than one teary eye in response. Later in the day, the Chatham Hall community enjoyed a lunch menu selected by the seniors, who sat together as a class to enjoy the shared meal. Many in the dining hall were caught off guard by the volume and gusto with which the Class of 2017 sang the “100 Days” song, and the class received vigorous applause for their efforts.
For many, the day brought the usual mix of emotions as the end of the year approaches. Faculty and students alike are excited to see the paths these seniors will follow in the coming years, yet feel some sadness in seeing such wonderful girls move on from Chatham Hall. In the end, happiness ruled the day, and marked the passage of another cherished tradition for the year. For photos from the day, click here!
