TuTu Turtles Compete in FIRST Chesapeake District Championships

Finishing the regular season ranked 20th, the TuTu Turtles advanced and competed in the FIRST Chesapeake District Championships from April 3-8.
Only 54 teams out of the district’s 106 were eligible to compete in the championships, bringing groups from Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia to Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va. for the competition.

Eight members of the TuTu Turtles represented the team during the competition with the support of the entire Chatham Hall community. They had a strong showing at the event, ending the season ranked 30th overall.

Throughout their second season in this division of play, the TuTu Turtles learned a great deal and will carry their new found knowledge and skills with them into next season. As the only all-girls FRC Team in FIRST Chesapeake District, they’re looking forward to further representing women in STEM and competing at this level.

Great job, TuTu Turtles!
