2024-2025 School Year Opens with Fall Convocation

Convocation is a moment where we unite to celebrate, inspire, and set the tone for the incredible year ahead. In the spirit of new beginnings, on August 28, 2024, we welcomed the Chatham Hall community to the 2024-2025 school year with blessings, words, and songs as we embraced the energy, enthusiasm, and endless possibilities that lie ahead. As we enter our 130th year, may the blessings from the evening be ever in our hearts.
Held in St. Mary’s Chapel, the ceremony included remarks from Chaplain Beth Barksdale and Rector and Head of School Sara Stephenson, the recognition of students who had achieved Rector’s List and Dean’s List honors, and the naming of those who earned Scholastic Medals with the highest grade point average in each class from the 2023-2024 school year.

Alma Mater
School days bright, that fly so swiftly.
Down life’s stream beyond recall
Leave within our hearts abiding
Loyalty to Chatham Hall.

CHORUS
Chatham Hall, our Alma Mater
Love for thee, a pledge for all
And forever and forever,
We’ll be true to Chatham Hall.

When the golden sun is sinking
And the shadows o’er us fall
Memories will take us backward
To our days at Chatham Hall.
