On March 29, Chatham Hall’s Purple vs. Gold Spirit Challenge reached an exciting finale. At 3:45 p.m., the community gathered to hear the final results—only to be met with a surprise announcement from Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Hiltwine. The last competition of the challenge would take place in the brand-new Athletic, Health, and Wellness Center, marking its official opening after years of planning and construction.
This state-of-the-art facility is designed to support student growth and well-being. It offers a certified athletic trainer, a Health Care Center with waiting space, designated offices, and a 24/7 nursing staff. Beyond medical care, it provides resources for nutrition, mental health, and overall wellness, including access to a full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
From a climbing wall that fosters resilience to a dance studio with a professional-grade sprung floor, the center encourages movement and creativity. Students can practice mindfulness in the indoor yoga studio, enjoy fresh air on the outdoor yoga patio, or take advantage of the indoor walking track, ensuring fitness remains accessible year-round.
This extraordinary new space stands as a powerful testament to the vision and commitment of our students, faculty, staff, alumnae, donors, and the Board of Trustees. Yet, our work is not finished. We have extended the Boundless Potential Campaign through December 2026—and we invite you to celebrate the building’s completion by making a gift to support its lasting impact.
