Yearbook Earns Back-to-Back Golds

The 2023 Chatham Hall yearbook, the Chathamite, has been recognized in Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence at the gold level for the second consecutive year.
The publication was also honored at the silver level in 2021.

According to the Jostens website, “the National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award is given based on the extraordinary efforts that go into creating a yearbook and making it accessible to every student.” The criteria includes: creating a meaningful yearbook for all students, ensuring a yearbook for every student, and effective project management. School’s earn gold-level recognition for achievements in all three categories.

This award-winning yearbook was created and led by editor Estelle Mason ‘23 and staff members Olivia Gioia ‘26, Eva Melendrez ‘23, Elle Reeves ‘25, MaryChun Slone ‘23, and Mary Blair Tankard ‘25 with contributions by Maryn Call '26, and under the direction of the School’s Director of Communications and Yearbook Adviser Rachel Balsley.

“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Tammy Whitaker, Jostens VP & COO Yearbook Division. “These schools did an exceptional job on multiple levels, despite the challenges presented by this school year. Yearbooks are a critical part of capturing and telling a school’s story, and Jostens is dedicated to supporting yearbook staff members as they do their important work.

Congratulations, Turtles!
