Celebrating Mathematical Excellence

Chatham Hall is thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of Nina Z. ’27 and Rose W. ’27, who recently showcased their mathematical talent in the prestigious American Mathematics Competition 10 (AMC 10).

The AMC 10, designed for grade 10 and below students, is an important stepping stone for those aspiring to compete in the International Math Olympiad. The competition challenges students with thought-provoking problems that require creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.

Nina earned a Certificate of Participation, recognizing her hard work and dedication in tackling this rigorous competition. Her participation demonstrates a commitment to advancing her mathematical skills and engaging with complex problem-solving opportunities.

Rose achieved an extraordinary milestone, earning a Certificate of Distinction for scoring in the top 5% of all participants nationwide. This remarkable accomplishment highlights her exceptional aptitude for mathematics and places her among the top young mathematicians in the country. Additionally, Rose qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME), an advanced competition that brings her one step closer to competing at the highest levels of mathematical achievement.
